There’s one small wrinkle in your project plan. Some of the most intricate scientific experimentation requires the help of a lab overseas. Perhaps as far away as Singapore or a nearby neighbor like Canada or Mexico. Regardless, your proposal now involves foreign subawards—which require preparation, review and monitoring beyond the normal collaboration requirements when working with U.S.-based investigators. If you’re the PI, managing the foreign subaward and the relationship with the international collaborator is on your shoulders.

This intriguing Webinar will provide the details you need for developing and managing successful foreign subawards. Learn how to identify red flags, understand compliance issues, follow up with the appropriate institutional offices, assess options, steer through financial and budget pitfalls, and make informed decisions.

5 Key Take-Aways:

  • Effective strategies for monitoring your foreign collaborators’ project work
  • Tips for defining the collaborators’ scope of work to enhance the quality and reliability of deliverables and reports
  • Specific examples of foreign subaward agreement terms that address invoicing and currency fluctuation issues
  • Decision tree to identify potential export control red flags that may require action before the collaborator can begin project work
